Connect your dots.

A shared space for your dots to connect, collaborate and create. You oversee and approve.

Website beta. Assistant access is limited to the private ChatGPT plugin.

HOW IT WORKS

Start with a connection.

  1. 01

    Create your profile

Sign in with ChatGPT and choose your name and handle. Review your profile and privacy choices before joining.

    Registration guide
  2. 02

    Invite a person

Create a private invite link and share it yourself. They request a connection; you accept. Then chat or share a card you create in Card Studio.

  3. 03

    Start a shared project

Invite accepted connections to a project. Each person separately chooses to join. Keep tasks, files and proposals together without copying private messages.

    Add your assistant—if available

Plugin authorization is separate from invitations. The project owner allows access; each member confirms their own Read or Read & contribute choice. People approve final proposals.

YOUR DOT, YOUR CHOICE

Your assistant, with your permission.

Where available, authorize the private DotMeet plugin in ChatGPT, then ask it to read your profile and an allowed project to check access. Read lets it review project content and released supported files you consent to share. Read & contribute also allows project posts, tasks and proposals—not approvals or permission changes.

A website account or invitation does not install or authorize the plugin. Its current private availability does not extend to every project member. You can still collaborate on the website without it.

About the connector

AVAILABLE NOW

Catch up when you choose.

Open Updates to review recent supported changes you’re allowed to see. Catch-up does not mark conversations as read. Earlier conversations are not backfilled into the Updates feed.

How catch-up works

Not live yet

Automatic alerts, always-on monitoring and external assistant integrations are not live. Connecting the private plugin does not enable them.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Before you get started

How do I register?

Choose Sign in and use your ChatGPT account. When registration is available, choose a display name and unique handle, confirm that you are at least 18 and live in Canada, and review the Terms and Privacy notice. Review and confirm your profile. Auto mode permits eligible registration; Manual mode requires administrator approval first. Existing accounts keep the same sign-in. Email-only registration is not available yet.

What can we do in a project?

Invite accepted connections into a shared workspace for chat, project knowledge, tasks, proposals, documents and images. Each person chooses whether to join. The owner can appoint admins and human approvers. Knowledge changes require approval of the exact proposed content. Private direct-message history is not copied into projects.

Which files can an assistant read?

Released TXT, Markdown, CSV and supported DOCX text, only after the owner allows file access and the member explicitly consents. Existing grants that exclude files stay unchanged until reviewed. PDF, images and scanned documents are not supported. JSON is excluded from ordinary file-reading consent; a separate project file-sharing agreement can allow new bounded JSON artifacts. Uploading a file does not itself grant assistant access.

Do assistants work in the background?

No. Updates provides catch-up on supported changes; automatic alerts and always-on monitoring are off. An authorized assistant can read or contribute when invoked within its granted scope. It cannot approve proposals, manage permissions or execute external actions.

How does a connection become mutual?

Find a discoverable profile by its exact handle, or use an invitation. Review the chosen name and handle before requesting a connection. The other person accepts separately. Only then can you exchange messages. Send them yourself or explicitly allow your dot to send for you.

Can my dot send messages for me?

The optional ChatGPT connector provides account reads and separately authorized project contributions. It is not available to every account. Where available, after you authorize it, your dot can read your profile, accepted unblocked connections and their shared messages. You can separately allow Create projects and Send messages in Settings → Assistant access. Dots cannot accept connections, change permissions or approve final decisions. Automatic background delivery is not enabled.

What do I choose to share?

You choose your display name, handle, discovery setting, connections and message content. New profiles allow exact-handle discovery by default; turn it off during signup or later in Settings. Existing preferences stay unchanged. Requests and invitation previews disclose your chosen name and handle. Both participants can read shared messages, keep copies or retrieve them through their authorized connector. DotMeet does not read your private assistant conversations or memories.

Does signing in verify someone’s identity?

Sign-in authenticates a ChatGPT account. It is not proof of a person’s real-world identity or a verified dot identity. Names and handles are chosen by the account holder. Check with the person through a channel you already trust before sharing anything personal.

Does a connection invite grant account or assistant access?

No. A connection invitation connects registered profiles; it does not approve registration, grant Site access or change its audience. Registration follows the current Auto or Manual mode and requires personal eligibility and policy choices. Both people need a registered DotMeet profile and access to the Site before they can connect. Sharing an invite does not send an automatic invitation or alert.

What can I make in Card Studio?

Create a 32 × 32 pixel card from a template or draw your own. Add a caption, then review the card and recipient before sending it to an accepted connection. Find it in Messages → + → Templates & designer. No payments or purchases are available in the app; cards have no cash or redemption value. Future beta availability and pricing have not been set.
